I first thought this series was going to be full of steamy sexy interludes with your typical Aloha werewolf craving a human woman turned werewolf but it was better than that. Don't get me wrong if you like that genre then great but give me action and fight scenes any day. There were lots of romantic and sexy moments but they felt necessary to the story. The plot was interesting and I liked how the supernatural and native American Indian magic was thrown in together which was a first for me. I would recommend this series and l am looking forward to reading more by this author.
What an epic finale to a truly epic series!! Everything I could have hoped for and more was placed into this book, and I could not be more satisfied with the ending that I received. At this marvelous conclusion to the Matefinder series, I was not left with a single lingering question, and though my heart aches for those lost souls, it rejoices over the happy endings which were given to the survivors. Balance has been restored, and it's a new era of peace and prosperity for all supernatural beings. Aurora has come so far from the inexperienced and newly changed werewolf, to the radiant young woman and alpha female we see before us as we conclude our journey with her. She has learned so many harsh lessons, and become a stronger person for those lessons learned. I'm honored to have been able to take this path with Aurora, and I have nothing but praise to offer to Leia Stone on an extraordinary series and fine set of characters. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a tale of trials, triumphs, and sacrifices, and to those saps out their who love a little HEA like me. I promise, you won't regret it.
Over all i would say i really liked this series. The first book Matefinder was engrossing and i read it in one sitting, ignoring my plans for the day and losing myself in the interesting shifter world Leia Stone created. I felt the same withe the second book.In the final book Balance, i still enjoyed the book however it felt a little flat to me, not as well thought out and possibly rushed? I found myself stopping a couple times saying "wait, what?"All in all it completed the series, answered questions and was worth reading, especially for followers of the series, this is a must read.
By know we know Aurora is brave and reckless and she makes stupid decisions every now and then I don't have an issue with that, but it was pretty frustrating watching the absolute incompetence of the good guys, practically everything they did made it easier for their enemies to attack however that made the ending more satisfying so I won't complain much. The series was awesome and I'll continue with the spin off series.
I have been waiting for this book for so long and it finally came. In fact it came earlier than expected!This book was really good, naturally there are things i don't like and think that could have been done better. (not worthy enough of diminishing the star rating).The story was great and helped finish off the series, the pacing of this book was extremely fast. The pacing could have been slower and book extended to greater describe certain situations. (it just felt rushed)The main plot points in the book were given adequate time, there are just some side situations that could have be prolonged to give a better view to the reader.Thats all for now, i am going to reread the series to get more of the series.
Balance is a great conclusion to a fun and wonderful story. I have really loved Leia's ideas of werewolves, vampires, witches and humans. As for Balance the story has several ups and downs throughout the journey. While not as emotional as the other two books it does have its moments. Aurora's answer to defeating Layla was really genius sure didn't see that coming. I look forward to any further adventures in this world from her.
I read these books in like three days. The storyline keeps you reading. I absolutely love the characters and the story, however the details felt a bit rushed to me at times. I think that the overall story allowed me to still fall in love with the series and characters. I would suggest this series for people that love fantasy, romance, and action.
Wow what a trilogy. I couldn't put it down. Although aurora didn't have the why me's in the beginning she gracefully adapts to her new role in the hierarchy of the pack. Mrs Stone wonderfully weaves the the story to incorporate love and danger all throughout the trilogy as well as death and relationship issues throughout the three books. A must read in my opinion.
