All four books are wonderfully written. Each one stands on its own but reading them together gives better understanding of all characters involved.I always loved Nora Roberts books. This saga is no exception. The way she describes family dynamics, you feel part of that family or you want to be part of it.Each book covers one of the brothers that are not really brothers. They are connected by this ten years old boy, Seth. By helping him, they help each other. They find love, start new business, and above all they come back to family home, town where they grew up and change their lives because they agreed to help Seth.I think that there isn't a person that wouldn't enjoy jumping into lives of four incredible guys that struggle together, build the future together, and are intertwined together like no others.Really incredible four books.Buy it, read it, and be prepared to not being able to put it away till you finish.I wish for one more story, about Aubrey. That would be just cherry on top. Well, I can only hope.

I would recommend this book to everyone. There's always a resemblance to a character in every book. My heart just fell in love immediately. I'm one if 6 sibling. Having already lost my mother, father and beautiful sister in my life this book made me laugh, cry and most of all remember how important family is and how much it means to me. Very relatable for my life and loved it tremendously. Definitely going to share it with my family.

I had read all 4 books as they came out years ago. But, having bought two of NR's Irish trilogies to read on our trip to Ireland last year, I decided to buy the Kindle version of the Chesapeake Bay series to bring over this year. [We travel on a motorcycle, so taking a Kindle along means not having to trade of shoes for books when packing.] I honestly had forgotten how much I enjoyed these characters. The individual romances are excellent, but it is the whole family dynamic that really pulled me in. I love how the 3 adopted brothers -- so different from one another in many ways, but so alike when it comes to family loyalties and love -- made room in their hearts and in their lives for the newest troubled boy that their father had brought home. And, I especially loved that I got to see that boy, Seth, again as a grown-up finding his own way to love. All that is missing now are the stories of the next generation. Ms. Roberts, are you working on those??

I've always enjoyed reading Nora Roberts books involving siblings,but this is by far the best series I've ever read. I loved how she took 3 very different men,with very different stories and made them the close knit family that they were. Then throwing in Seth,the hurt little boy who wants nothing more than to know love and his place in the world. I loved most that Cameron,the quick tempered bad ass,Ethan,the quiet,thoughtful waterman,and Philip,the sophisticated businessman are all raising Seth. It starts out as a mere promise,an oath between brothers and then blossoms into a love that can't be broken.I loved all the books equally. I loved to read how each brother interacted with Seth,he's feelings on living with them...wanting nothing more than to be family to them. It was just a beautiful thing to read. Ms. Roberts also created strong women to go along with these strong men and it was wonderful to watch the relationships take flight.Finally,the series ended with Seth's novel. To know that he grew up and his brothers were older was great. You got to see the man he became b/c of them and how much his family means to him,the sense of pride they felt @ the person they helped to create. It's a wonderful series. All of the Nora Roberts series are fantastic but if you read only one series,let this be the one.

This is my Nora Robert's favorite. I love the Quinn brothers and I loved reading the story about each brother. It's an amazing feeling when you find a world that just consumes you. This world consumed me and didn't let me go until I finished it. It was simply wonderful to see Seth journey from childhood to adult.A family that isn't by blood but by choice.

I am an avid Nora Roberts fan. I own just about all of her books and enjoy listening to them in audiobook form. I only semi-wish that I was a first timer to her stories, then I could appreciate the audiobooks for what they are and not dislike them in any way for the pieces of the stories that they are missing. The Quinn Brothers is my favorite series from her. After reading the first three books I fell in love with all three men and the women they fell in love with and Seth. When I found out that Nora was writing grown up Seth's story I was more than thrilled. I always wonder what happens to her characters after they get their happily ever after, what their lives turn out to be and I had finally gotten my wish. Listening to their stories over again was wonderful, but again I felt there were important events left out of each. One most pointedly in Sea Swept. It's a moment between Cam and Seth that is really telling to how the boy is growing being with the brothers. Seth's story was told in full, which was great, as it should be. A good listen overall, but again I recommend the actual books if you really want the full impact of the stories.

I have listened to the unabridged version of these stories again and again from the library until I saw a deal that I couldn't resist. I now understand what unabridged means which these books are not. These books are a condensed version of the ones I know. They give the story but have left out pages of great dialogue. Romantic scenes. The spirit of the dad. I miss what was left out. Sigh....

An absolutely wonderful series of stories about 4 brothers. Each strong, vibrant, different in themselves adopted by one college professor and his wife. Who together molded them into the fine men they became. Overcoming obstacles from the past, finding love, forming tight family bonds, creating their own lives on the water.I thoroughly enjoyed reading each different story learning about each character in that particular book. By the time I was finished with all 4 , I was totally wrapped up in the lives of each in the little waterfront town. Sorry to have it come to the end.

This coloring book holds no power over meBarely an Jareth pictures and he looks HORRIBLE, not like Jareth at all. So many poses and pictures that could have been done, none with him with the glass orbs that looked cool etc..nadda. Everything looks very cartoonish and as for it being an adult coloring book, maybe four pictures fit that category, the rest look like cartoon pictures or scribbles. These are all one sided pictures so you can use markers, thankfully. Also, they used different artists for this so every page is a different illustrator, which takes away from this I think. Honestly, the cover of this book (which is also a coloring page inside) was the best artwork on the whole thing, and what I was hoping would be the style throughout. As you can see from the photos attached, some pages barely even have a third covered with anything to color. Am I supposed to draw in my own thing? Severely disappointed in this to the point I'll probably send it back. So much potential and it failed majorly.

Buyer beware. This book is not realistic in the least. It's very cartoon like and whimsy. The artistry isn't that good overall. This book is truly disappointing. Regret buying it. They'd get it back if return wasnt half the price of the book to begin with. Alot of pages are mostly empty of art. And the art is elementary at best for coloring. The only bonus is it has good paper quality that's single sided. Only reason for 2 stars.

Pre ordered in May and was so looking forward to getting it. Big let down!! Save your money, even Ludo looks horrible.

For the binding, this book is sewn together and the pages are not perforated. If you want to take the pages out to color you’ll probably have to cut the threads apart instead of using an x-acto knife or the like.The back of each page is blank so you can use markers or pens that would usually bleed through, but I still suggest using craft or construction paper to keep the next page safe.The illustrations is where this book falls short. I had to go back and make sure that it was indeed an adult coloring book. The pictures are very cartoonish and leave a lot of blank space- not suited for an adult coloring book. There were still some pretty illustrations, but not at all the dynamic pictures from The Labyrinth that I was looking for. I’m hoping for a redo with more realistic illustrations.

So, so disappointed in this, and feeling misled by the description. The cover image leads you to believe the pages are reminiscent of Froud's character designs. In reality, there are a number of artists who created the drawings, in an array of styles that are nothing like the film. The worst are the completely Disney-esque images, where Sarah looks like Ariel from the Little Mermaid more than anything you'd find in Henson's world. Had to return it.

Totally disappointed. Like most reviewers here, I think it was a waste of money. For an adult coloring book, the characters look very cartoonish, and I didn't even recognize Ludo in one of the drawings! While I realize that they took artistic merit, don't waste your money. Very few of the pictures are worth it.

A must have for Labyrinth fans! It has art from several different artists with slightly different styles. It's very cartoonish with almost a Disney look to some pictures. I was disappointed with only one page from the ballroom scene with Jareth a d Sarah though.

Not quite what I was expecting. The characters look more Disney-like than Jim Henson, but it's still a cute coloring book overall.

As a retired professional programmer, I cannot recommend this book to beginners, or to programmers who want to learn Prolog. The casual style fails to cover the language, it's weak on examples and weak conceptually.

Poorly written and formatted. It mars the beautiful Prolog language. I learned to not trust Amazon rating because it's heavily affected by "reviewers" who got the ebook for free.

Inconsistent and hard to read.

Good book, overall. The real key to me is that this is a very small language. I kept looking for more than there really was. This book is a good deal for the Kindle, but the paper copy is a lot more than I think that the information is worth.

Ordered this book to help me understand Prolog. Its gives a basic overview of the topic, however the formatting I think messes up is kind of confusing (kindle version). In my opinion, the examples were kind of odd. But I guess that's what you get from a book that should take you a day to get through.

A lot of code in this book(read in kindle) cannot be displayed correctly.

Chapter 8 and 9 seem to be copied from another book, and the rest of the book is a summary of a self study session. It is a decent summary though, hence the extra two stars.

I feel like a prodigy in the Java programming world. This book has helped me quickly advance from novice to expert over the past week. It is good how intuitively the learning flow of this book is layed out. It progresses just as it should and helped me learn quickly. When it says success in a day it isn't lying.

The story attempted to tackle multiple subjects. Dyslexia, teenage suicide, cancer and death. It doesn't do a very good job at portraying any of it. The emotional depth is not there.Trudy, the main character is rather self-absorbed and shallow. She has a terminally ill sister who stays in a hospital twenty miles away, yet only visits her for a brief time on Saturday mornings. She can't seem, or even attempt, to try and understand situations from other people's point of view. Not her mother, who is about to lose her youngest daughter. Not for her father, who uprooted his family and is dealing with a sick daughter, a suicidal daughter, medical bills and keeping the family afloat. And certainly not the boy she's too cowardly to confront about a conversation she overheard but is all to willing to jump on the bandwagon (pun intended) regarding a plan to hurt the boy put forth by a girl she just met. Seriously, who goes to, or cares about, Homecoming when their sister just died the day before?All in all, Trudy would have been and interesting character if she had been fully developed and fleshed out more. Same goes for the storyline. The story started with a bet and we don't even find out how the boys resolve the issue, especially after what Gabe did.

I couldn’t finish this book, but not because it wasn’t really well written - it is. The problem is that it hit too close to home and stripped away some of the protection I had put around my heart so that I could be strong with what I am dealing with. I was crying and couldn’t read any more. This is a really well written book and it deals really well with hard topics and shows how much we hide from others. Because of it we become really isolated. Each of us needs a friend with whom we can open up to and be vulnerable with. Trudy and Lane were that for each other. This story certainly proved the adage that you shouldn’t judge without walking in another’s shoes.

I really thought this was a good story. I have enjoyed all of Victorine's books. this had all the feels. The only thing that bothered me was that Gabe got away without any consequences at all. Actions have consequences and he got away Scott free. I would still recommend it to anyone of any age that wants a good clean book.

This is a clean romance that deals with some realistic situations. I really enjoyed this book featuring Lane and Trudy. This book features attempted suicide, cancer, and cheating parents, which are tough things to have to deal with. I thought the author did a great job writing this emotional book.

Don't Bet on Love by Victorine Lieske is a YA fictional story. I've read a lot of Victorine's stories but this is the first YA one that I have read by her. It is very realistic in dealing with the many issues facing young people today. Made me remember why I don't miss being in High School.Trudy is facing her Senior year in a new school and being bullied by Gabe one of the HS football stars. He has given her a cruel nickname and plans on humiliating her at a Homecoming dance. Trudy overheard his conversation with Lane another player on the football team as they make a bet that Lane can get Trudy to go to the dance with him. The part she overheard was that Gabe would do something at the dance to humiliate her but she didn't hear Lane say he wouldn't be part of doing that. Lane and Gabe decided that whoever lost the bet, would do something humiliating( if Gabe lost, he would cut his hair or if Lane lost, he would dress as a cheerleader)Lane doesn't really know Trudy but he sets out to get to know her so he can invite her to the dance. She doesn't want anything to do with him, thinking they plan to embarrass her. When Lane and Trudy get sent to the principal's office for talking in class, the principal asks Trudy to tutor Lane in Calculus so he can stay on the football team. She reluctantly agreed and the two of them begin meeting to work on their homework.As they continue to meet they start to find out a lot about each other- both are dealing with difficult family situations and they become very supportive of each other. What started out as pretend has become real feelings for each other. But Gabe isn't one to give up winning easily and he sets up a cruel plan to divide the two.This type of story isn't my favorite but Victorine did a great job portraying young love so I have to give it five stars.I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest unbiased view.

This was a great story about a couple of seniors in high school. I enjoyed the story in how it played out. A lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications made this story progress even more. Trudy is just trying to keep her head down and making the best of her life while making the best grades she can. She has a lot of things that she is dealing with including her sister dying of cancer. Lane is a young man that has a dream of going pro in football, but is struggling with keeping his grades where they need to be. I enjoyed reading how they were forced to work with one another through tutoring. The sparks fly when they are together, but the rumors and misunderstandings are sabotaging their relationship. I recommend this book to those that like young adult romance and learning the importance of communication.

This story is a teen romance so it isn't overly mushy or heavy on the displays of affection. Lane was a really thoughtful guy, a gem really. Trudy was dealing with so many emotions with moving and her sister's sickness that Lane ended up being the friend she needed at the right time. Although the romance was front and center, the lives of Lane and Trudy were constantly being bombarded with drama from others. This book set a good example of dealing with some pretty serious and dark issues without becoming a depressing story of teens spiraling into despair. It's important to have books like this to see that even though some pretty bad things may happen in your life there is still good to be found, there is still hope, and there are great people who will be by your side through it all, making it bearable.
