This is a MUST for EVERYONE! There is a morning meditation and an even mediation and each are about 25 minutes long. I make an effort to the morning mediation/chakra clearing every morning because I work with a lot of different people and I want to clear and empower myself and "step back and let Spirit lead the way". Whew - what a blessing it's been to clear and activate and know that going through my day - the Divine is working through me - it's reduced my stress level! And, the evening mediation/charkra clearing is one that I try to do as often as possible - especially if there have been difficult circumstances throughout the day - for this mediation clears and removes the negative aspects of the day and creates a peaceful night's sleep. Highly recommend it! Thank you, Doreen!

Love this little book. Just perfect for learning about chakras for the first time and easy ways to clean/align them. I read the book in one sitting and that night I went to work medidating. And so my life has changed. Thank You. I ordered my mom a book the next day.

I loved this book! I felt like she was speaking right to me. This is the first Doreen Virtue book I have read as I was always on the fence on whether she was legit or not. After reading the book, I believe she is very legit. What captivated me was now candid she was about her life growing up. Until her book, I really felt like people with her gifts were just born that way and it's either "you have it or you don't" and I didn't have "it" as a kid, so was I just one of the unlucky one's. Come to discover through her book that these "gifts" as we call them are just skills we can learn and practice, like riding a bike, there is really nothing special about it, you just need the desire to learn. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading many more of Doreen Virtue's books.

This book is so helpful and informative. Not to long do you can read the info fast, and jump ahead of need be. It's a blessing to better understand your purpose once you know your " Soul Group/Tribe". You can stop wasting time trying to figure that out and get to work on what we signed up to do! Spoken like a true Wise One/ Star Person :)

I have to say that I haven't read the book. My mother got it for me and although I was skeptical of the CD, I decided to listen to it one day while driving (my only alone time)and was impressed! Even while driving and having to have my focus on the road, I was able to go through the steps. I found the music and voice to be calm and soothing, which isn't always the case with these things. I didn't have any expectation going into it, but right away I noticed myself freely and openly meditating on some chakras, and others I felt like there was a big "do not enter" sign in front of that portion of my body. I can't really describe it except it felt like my body was saying "no!" This right away helped me recognize the chakras (there were 2) that need clearing and opening and the chakras that felt open and fine. I think it is a very positive tool in identifying where your body needs clearing and also to keep your chakras clear, open, and bright. I also found that when prompted by the CD, things or people in my life would come to my mind that I hadn't previously realized was a problem for me. I have to say that I am an intuitive person, open to metaphysical teachings, etc., but I am not heavily into this type of work. So for me, having done almost no previous chakra cleansing work, I was very happily surprised with what I got. I need to read the book next! I have other chakra books so I am familiar with locations on the body and what they represent.

The angels direct us to messages from the other side...this book tells us how. We just have to be open to them and realize that things that seem like they can't be just a coincidence, aren't! I receive messages that are so powerful, the book was all about things I've already experienced. The book helps those who are unsure realize they're not crazy, just spiritual enough to realize that there are angels to help us if we ask for their help. There is another book by the same author, of experiences sent in by Women's World magazine readers, that tells of personal messages and signs received. You may have read some of them in the My Guardian Angel page of the magazine. My mom couldn't put the book down.

I read the book through even though I didn't identify with all the various descriptions. But I found it very fascinating as I read and I tried to determine who the people around me might be.Overall this book is really interesting. If you're really interested in spirituality and feel creating peace and change is your purpose in life, then chances are you might be one of the types of lightworkers outlined in this book. So I'd recommend checking it out and seeing how you feel about what it has to say.

About the Author

Born in Manitoba, Victoria Jason spent four years near Churchill, where she fell in love with the North while raising her family. Victoria moved to Winnipeg, working for many years as an employee of the Canadian National Railways. After following her dream to kayak the North, she worked to reintroduce the Kayak to the Innue. She also toured the country sharing her experiences and adventures until Spring 2000, when her illness made it impossible for her to continue.

This Canadian woman fell in love with the north and its people. She took her kayak on a long perilous trip where many would fear to go. What courage. She tells about her trip and the many places she visited and the people she met. She continued her trip alone after the man along on the trip proved hard to get along with. But she continued. She was planning more trips to her favorite part of the world but it was not to be. Though she did not live to continue kayaking she did what she wanted. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was not afraid to go where others would be afraid. What a terrific lady. Her health was not good but that would not deter her from living life.

Excellent book and surpasses her early traveling companion's book.

She was an incredible women. This journey she has shared about her life is a inspiration to all women searching for their inner strengths.

Our entire family shared this book and we still gifted it to a friend down south. Good story and highly recommend it as gifts.

I loved this book. Fantastic adventure.

Interesting book, I was up north flying when she did her summers and came through the place I was staying at but missed her. An extraordinary women to be doing a solo trip like that in the conditions she had. She was incredibly tough minded. It was so sad she passed away so young with so much left to do

A must read for lady kayakers!

"Kabloona" is a well-written and interesting story about an interesting lady who did an interesting paddle with some questionable partners. This I've read twice while her partner's I did not finish once. Her paddles in this area took root and she returned after to spend time in native villages that are as 3rd world as anywhere in the world. I reread it just before paddling in the Pelly Bay area and one in our group spotted the very small marker on the Ihoktok beach. Just a small plaque in a pretty spot along the shore with the tundra stretching up and away in the distance. No mention of her in Kugaaruk itself, but her presence would have had to have improved the community. I'd like to read her second book but have not found it available anywhere.

About the Author

Howard Lockhart Fogg, Jr. was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 7, 1917. He came from a family that was interested in trains and at least some of his interest in drawing and painting pictures of trains may be attributed to his grandfather, who was a draftsman for the Boston and Maine Railroad. The Fogg family moved to a suburb of Chicago in 1923, where Fogg senior worked for the Litchfield & Madison Railroad. In time, Howard followed his father and attended Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where he studied English literature, created cartoons for the college paper, painted trains, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1938. That fall he enrolled at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts with the intention of working as a cartoonist. After graduation, several uneventful jobs followed, including work as an apprentice engineer at the Baldwin Locomotive erecting shop until 1941, when Fogg was drafted into the army. The attack on Pearl Harbor prompted Fogg to transfer to the Army Air Corps where he trained as a pilot and received his commission and wings in 1942. Stationed in England, Fogg flew 76 missions escorting heavy bombers, many over Germany, and as a result, he was awarded the Air Medal with three clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross with one cluster. Howard was discharged from the army as a captain in 1945, certain only that he wanted to be a railroad artist. In 1946, Fogg was fortunate to meet with Duncan Fraser, the president of American Locomotive Co. (ALCO) in New York. Impressed by Fogg s work, Fraser hired the young artist to paint locomotives in the color schemes of the railroads that were receiving new engines. His work for ALCO brought Fogg into contact with Lucius Beebe, an author who began commissioning and reproducing Fogg paintings in a variety of railroading books. Fogg also met John Walker Barriger III, an expert in rescuing struggling rail lines. As Barriger moved from line to line, he commissioned Fogg paintings to help promote each railroad. Fogg s reputation as a painter began to grow. In 1943, Fogg had married his college sweetheart, Margot Dethier, and the couple was able to buy their first house in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, in 1947. The Foggs had friends in Colorado and, after visiting for several summers, they moved to Boulder in 1955. Fogg set up his studio there and continued to work for ALCO, although his long-term agreement with the company ended in 1957. Thereafter, Fogg worked as a freelance painter. As his reputation grew, Fogg found that his paintings were in such demand that he had a backlog of orders that would require several years to fulfill. During the course of his long career as an artist, Howard Fogg completed more than 1,200 paintings, most in watercolor, although some 200 were in oil. As a young artist, he once completed 45 watercolors in one year. As a freelance painter, he often needed about two weeks to complete one work, while late in his career each painting took about six weeks to complete. In spring 1996, Fogg experienced difficulty breathing and, although he worked in his studio every day, his energy and concentration were ebbing and his effort to paint became a struggle. On October 1, 1996, Howard passed away at age 79, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of artwork to be enjoyed by generations to come.

My dad loves these calendars. He normally buys them himself and hands them to me to give him as a Christmas present. This year he was too ill to get one himself, so I ordered one for him. The smile on his face when he opened it was beautiful. These are very nice calendars, and I'm sure anyone who is a train aficionado will enjoy it greatly.

Mr Fogg had a real talent for painting steam locomotives at work and the calendar allows this lovely artwork to be viewed by all who have the Howard Fogg calendars.
