I enjoyed this story of Meg and Ben, who loved each other for years but never let the other one know. Ben carried a lot of grief and guilt from his teenage years and never thought he could win her heart. Meg never thought she was good enough for Ben, not at all like the women he dated. Then they find themselves in a fake relationship to help Ben get the job of his dreams, and things go crazy from there. There’s a bit of bad language, some sex, but also romance, humor, and healing.
This is the second book in the Mirror Lake series and they just keep getting better. I read this book in one day, I couldn't put it down. Mirror Lake is one of those series when you want to ask the author to "PLEASE WRITE FASTER, because I can't wait for the next book".Ms. Liasson's characters are likable and realistic. They are not always perfect, but they strive to be better. I find myself consistently rooting for them.Even though you know there will be a happy ending, the story is so well written you don't know what the characters will do to get there. You just want to enjoy the ride with them.One of things I really enjoy about this series is all the supporting characters are so interesting that you can't wait for their stories to be told too.LOVED IT!!!!
This is a sweet love story with interesting characters. It's book two in the series but stands on its own with an individual story and ending. Not a cliff hanger. (I recommend the first book too though because it's also a great story.)The story contains the lesson that you should never give up on love and that things are not always as they seem. The characters are developed and likable.
This is the second book in the Mirror Lake series that I have read. I think it is better than the first book. I felt that the story had more depth to it. Better character development. Am looking g forward to reading Sam’s story!
Enjoyed meeting this cast of characters and how this story was woven together to culminate in a happy ending. It was fun taking this journey with Meghan sand Ben.
I loved this book. This is the second book in the Mirror Lake series and they just keep getting better. This one took me on a virtual rollercoaster ride of emotions. I loved them as a couple.Although the story is a romantic comedy, there are touching moments as both come to terms with a tragedy from their past. I love a good small town romance, and this one had it all—a hot hero, a heroine you will love and root for, and so much fun humor.THIS LOVE OF MINE is a keeper and I highly recommend it.
This was a second Mirror Lake novel I have read and it was another easy going fun read. Miranda has comical main characters and really cute storylines. She paints the picture of the world quite clearly. Frankly, I needed this read after the long series of crime/mystery novels that were quite graphic and terrifying in nature. Thanks for the "bubble gum" like break!
