A salt fanatic since his first bite of a juicy salt-studded steak at a truck stop in France, Mark Bitterman has traveled the globe for over 25 years in search of flavor. I got this as a gift for my dad for Christmas. He's almost impossible to shop for, but he genuinely seemed intrigued by this and the salt block I got to go with it.
Nice accompaniment to the salt block
This is a great book for those with no knowledge of salt block cooking. Easy directions and how-to care tips. I haven’t made any recipes yet, but there are many to choose from, including great charts and photos. The binding feels a little loose, but overall a fantastic purchase for the price.
